The Cool Shirt (Cool Suit) Pro Air & Water System delivers temperature-controlled cooled water to the driver’s Cool Shirt® and cooled blower-enhanced HEPA-4 filtered air to their helmet. Also available with the SFI-Approved FireWear® fire-retardant Cool Shirt.
The Cool Shirt (Cool Suit) Pro Air & Water System comes with a 12 or 24 quart cooling unit with an internal pump that supplies temperature-controlled cool water to the shirt and HEPA-4 filtered, chilled air to your helmet via a 235 CFM blower. Emergency Safety Pull Release Connectors
are patentpending connectors designed for emergency situations where the user needs immediate release from the cooling unit. The connectors release under pressure without requiring the user to locate and depress the normal release buttons. This is done by pulling on the shirt hose that connects the COOL SHIRT to the insulated hose. At 17 lbs of pressure, the fittings autorelease from the cooling unit hose. To install your new connectors on the shirt and hose, follow these steps:
1) Remove your existing male connectors from your shirt by simply cutting them off from the clear tubing just behind the connectors.
2) Install the red male 5/16 inch barb connectors to the remaining tubing by stretching the tubing open slightly with a pair of needle nose pliers; dip the barbed end of the new red male connectors into some soapy water to lubricate them and insert the barbed ends into the clear tubing until fully seated against the connector.
3) Remove your existing female connectors from the end of your insulated hose (female connectors have the release pushbuttons) by simultaneously cutting the insulation and internal black tubing just behind the connectors.
4) Install the red female ¼ inch barb connectors to the black internal tubing by stretching the tubing open slightly with a pair of needle nose pliers, dip the barbed end of the new red female connectors into some soapy water to lubricate them and insert the barbed ends into the black tubing until fully seated against the connector.
